One of the main word in this definition is reputation. Reputation has a important position in a company or group's development. If a company can build a nice image for themselves, public will help them to grow in an amazing speed.

This marketing campaign helps Starbucks to increase their sales in an amazing speed. The most important influence for Starbucks is they build a good reputation for themselves. Public is willing to use one dollar to support this new product. Like Zitron mentioned, the main job for PR is to maintain a good reputation for a company. Starbucks' example shows the importance of a reputation, and also gives us a basic understanding about how to build a reputation.
